Position Overview
POSITION SUMMARY
Under medical supervision, provides medical and pelvic examinations for the purpose of assessing general health and eligibility for contraception; to ascertain pregnancy; and to ascertain the need for and provide therapeutic assistance for a determined range of infections and disorders. Provides educational and training services to staff and clients.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative (10%):
•Participates in department and interdisciplinary committees which affect policies related to the role of the Advance Practice Clinician and delivery of health care to the customer.
•Participates in agency quality risk management program. Under the direction of the regional VP and the physician leadership, implements overall quality assurance activities at the health centers.
•Responds with other staff to community needs by participating in educational efforts.
