To provide the highest standard of nursing care to all patients under the care of the Advanced Kidney Care Team undergoing renal treatment/support and thus contribute to the overall efficiency of the renal service.

To be accountable as line manager for a team of specialist nurses and others.

Ensure the highest standard and quality of nursing care is delivered to all patients.

Ensure a robust service with cross cover within the renal nurse specialists including anaemia management.

Main duties of the job

Support the client/family emotionally and practically in the outpatient/inpatient home setting, in regards treatment options available with a patient with advanced kidney disease.

Provide patient/family/staff education in regards different modalities of treatment. This includes haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, home therapies and supportive care.
