Principle Responsibilities
Serves as the representative of hospital administration and management in their absence.Maintains an environment to meet patient and family needs for safety, comfort, education and support.Refers situations to Patient Representative, Risk Management, Employee Health, Nursing Leaders as appropriate.Works with unit charge nurse and physicians to place patient admissions and transfers.Informs on-call Administrator/Department Manager of resolved and / or pending problems and actions taken.Gives direction to other hospital departments in the absence of their manager to assure the delivery of patient care.Enforces high standards for the quality of patient care delivered on patient care units.
