Position Summary:
The Adolescence Education program at SUNY Cortland is accepting applications to fill potential part-time adjunct faculty openings for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Major Responsibilities:
A classroom based 3 credit hour course pays $5500 per class. The department typically hires for the courses/subject areas listed below but this list is not all inclusive. Other courses/subject areas may become available within the department. ILLUSTRATIVE NEEDS INCLUDE :
AED 391: Introduction to Adolescence Education
AED 600: Introduction to Adolescence Education
Note: AED 600 is a required course in the Master of Science in Teaching ( MST ) in Adolescence Education, which is offered fully online.
Required Qualifications:
Masterβs degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
Terminal degree preferred.
Teaching experience in grades 7-12 in at least one of the following areas:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Earth Science
- English
