Position Overview
The Actuarial Assistant supports various actuarial functions that include pricing, financial reporting & forecasting, and product set up. They complete analysis on predefined, defined tasks. This role learns techniques that support Assurant operations in achieving its revenue and profitability targets.
Responsibilities
- Accurately produce details and requirements needed for internal and external requests and reports by following established specifications.
- Establish foundational knowledge of software and source system applications, and locate, query, extract, manipulate, and reconcile data.
- Develop basic knowledge of programming and coding in supported platforms (SAS/SQL).
- Follow direction and update tables for product set up.
- Identify system and data inefficiencies and implement resolutions as directed.
