Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a high-volume accounting team in Richmond, Virginia in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This remote position follows a Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment while managing a steady flow of invoice activity. The person in this role will partner with vendors and internal accounting staff to keep payment operations accurate, timely, and well organized.

Responsibilities:
• Process a high daily volume of invoices with accuracy and consistent attention to deadlines.
• Review and assign proper account codes to invoices before entering them into the accounts payable workflow.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve billing questions, payment issues, and documentation discrepancies.
