Position Overview
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Associate degree may be acceptable for junior roles.
- Coursework in financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, and auditing is often expected.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Xero, MYOB).
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).
- Understanding of:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Bank reconciliation
- Payroll processing (optional, role-dependent)
- Journal entries and month-end closing
- Ability to prepare financial reports and summaries.
