3 Months Contract with a Local Authority Summary The Interim Accountant will play a critical role in strengthening the Authoritys financial control environment, ensuring robust balance sheet management, technical compliance, and treasury oversight. The role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong governance across financial processes, and supporting strategic financial planning. This includes ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (including CIPFA), managing cash flow and reserves, and providing insightful reporting to senior stakeholders.
