Function of Position:

This position will work cooperatively with TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) staff to positively impact the academic experience of new and existing students. The academic coach will support project goals by providing one-on-one and group coaching to SSS program participants, developing effective reading and learning strategies to become self-regulated learners, connecting students to campus resources, and other duties as assigned. The role of the coach is to help the student improve academically by identifying strengths and weaknesses and designing appropriate activities to improve their learning.
