Position Summary

The Biomedical Cleaner is responsible for ensuring a clean, sanitary, and safe environment across mobile clinics, safe spaces, and associated healthcare facilities. This includes the specialised cleaning, packaging, labelling, and handling of biomedical waste in compliance with national health, safety, and environmental regulations. The role involves both routine and emergency cleaning duties, supporting infection prevention, and contributing to the efficient operation of healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities Clean medical and non-medical areas including mobile clinics, reception areas, stock room (cold room), and safe spaces. Handle, package, label, and transport biomedical/pathological waste to designated collection sheds. Clean and disinfect medical waste containers, clinical equipment, and designated waste storage areas.
