1D CFD Engineer Roles and Responsibilities • Perform baseline CAE analysis of refrigeration and HVAC systems using 1D simulation tools. • Develop and optimize system models for refrigeration cycles, airflow distribution, and heat exchanger performance. • Evaluate system KPIs such as cooling capacity, COP (Coefficient of Performance), pressure drop, and energy efficiency. • Support design teams in delivering HVAC-compliant solutions within program timelines. • Drive test-to-CAE correlation for refrigeration systems, ensuring simulation accuracy. • Consider real-world constraints such as packaging, manufacturability, cost, and regulatory compliance. • Participate in model build, debugging, and validation of 1D simulation setups. • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, testing, and manufacturing teams in a fast-paced environment.
