As a department manager you will provide leadership to crew members and other management to ensure Quality, Service, Cleanliness, and Value to our customers. As a department manager you must demonstrate leadership ability by scheduling shifts effectively in advance, build constructive and effective relationships to make sure the team is meeting McDonaldβs standards. Shift managers monitor safety, security, profitability and must ensure proper communication throughout the team. You will be responsible for meeting targets during their shifts and for helping assigned departments meet their goals. For the kitchen department manager, you must manage the kitchen department and food cost, conduct inventory and manage bi-weekly ordering. For the people department you must prepare weekly schedules and manage labor for the restaurant.
